At Hallcon Corporation, ensuring the health and safety of our employees, clients and passengers is of utmost importance in our response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We are taking proactive action to support critical client operations that play a vital role in the nation’s transportation infrastructure that people and communities depend on during times of need. Hallcon has been actively following and implementing the guidance of federal, state and local governments and health agencies, including:

Center for Disease Control (CDC) – United States

Public Health Agency (PHA) – Canada

World Health Organization (WHO)

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Rumor Control

Employee Cleaning Recommendations and Protocol (CDC)

While we will continue to do everything possible to protect our employees, we also recognize the critical role we play in supporting freight rail operations, airport operations, public transit, commuter operations and transportation vehicle disinfecting that is needed to support the mitigation of COVID-19. Our transportation services are considered 1 of 16 sectors critical to COVID-19 response, according to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

While Hallcon will continue to provide these essential services, we have taken bold steps to minimize the risk of transmission:

  • We have implemented work from home provisions where possible.
  • We have closed our offices to visitors and are practicing social distancing.
  • We have eliminated air travel and have reduced all employee travel to only what is critical.
  • We have adopted strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols to ensure the safety of both drivers and passengers.

Although challenging, we believe this is the most appropriate and effective approach to ensure both the safety of employees and the continued essential support we provide to client operations.

As we anticipate increasing demand for essential passenger movement to support key infrastructure clients in the rail sector, we are in significant need of additional professional drivers in many locations throughout North America. Please visit https://hallcon.com/careers/ if you can help to support our efforts.

We will provide additional updates on our COVID-19 response as they develop.
